Life is scary. Some of our fears are overblown by a psyche run amok. But others legitimately reflect the state of affairs in the world. Life’s question is not about whether there is danger. The question is how to deal with it.

In our quest to avoid being trapped by that which we fear, I propose one thought:

Beware of being trapped by nothingness in an effort to avoid being trapped by somethingness.

You are not perfect. You never will be. And you will never be able to control nature’s force or how you die. But you might be able to control how you live. Take a shot. If you don’t, you will surely regret it.
