I have been buying sneakers and boots from New Balance for a few years. I love the shoes. They fit me well. And I love the customer service. I buy from a New Balance company website. They used to be nbwebexpress.com but are now www.shopnewbalance.com. I’ve written about this retailer in the past.

These guys really know their shoes and they know feet. Because I’ve been buying from them for a while, they know which shoes will work well for my feet. It cuts down on trial and error. I know that Zappos pays for shipping, but it’s still a pain to have to repackage shoes and send them back. I don’t have to do that as much when I buy from New Balance because more often than not, we get it right the first time.
I just bought two pairs of shoes from them. And not long after, I got a card from them in the mail expressing their appreciation for my business. The usual. Except, not usual at all. In addition to the printed comments, the card was handwritten. Someone had taken the time to be human. A simple message. I’m sure it didn’t take much time to write. But it made quite an impression on me. So once again, kudos to the folks at www.shopnewbalance.com.
Oh, by the way, I bought the 993 sneakers and the 978 boots. Both are perfect and I highly recommend them.
